Are you currently grappling with life’s challenges, experiencing feelings of dejection, anxiety, or depression? I am here to guide you through overcoming these obstacles and developing new cognitive frameworks to empower you to reach your full potential. Serving as your therapist, I leverage my education and expertise to assist you in establishing a positive and resilient identity, fostering strength, competence, and wholeness. At Ontario Mental Health Therapy, I offer a custom approach for each of my clients. I recognize that therapy is not one size fits all. Each client situation is unique, and I work diligently to provide clients with support that suits their uniqueness. I start by understanding the events that led up to the challenges you are currently facing; examining themes, finding patterns, and deconstructing problems that are contributing to your distress or inhibiting you from creating positive change. We will work together in exploring unique outcomes that will allow you to move forward in life.

Within this non-judgmental environment, I offer culturally sensitive counselling where your voice will be heard, your worth acknowledged, and you’ll be encouraged to explore aspects such as your identity, family dynamics, relationships, feelings of sadness, and any experiences of trauma. Together, we will create a space that cultivates a sense of safety, enabling you to explore fresh perspectives for enhanced mental well-being. Your story matters, and helping you identify your personal goals, fit pieces together, and apply practical strategies for change is my passion. If this journey aligns with your needs, I invite you to connect with me, and together, we can embark on this transformative process. I offer virtual appointments to suit your schedule.

You might find it difficult to manage or control your emotions. You might feel overly sensitive or even numb. You might experience overwhelming thoughts, that are often negative or you might even have intrusive thoughts about your past. Often these concerns can be severe and related to traumatic events that can raise questions for you, about how to start feeling better. Traumatic experiences can keep us trapped in the past and cycling in the memories, emotions, and thoughts about ourselves and those around us. My passion is to work with individuals from various backgrounds who are experiencing significant mental health challenges.

I provide Cognitive Processing Therapy to those diagnosed with PTSD, which is a type of treatment that was created to target difficulties that trauma can create in our lives. My training and expertise can help you move to a place where you are in the present and able to enjoy life. I also support individuals struggling with general mental health concerns.

We can work together to figure out the root causes to the concerns that you have, build structures and tools that help you not only navigate these concerns but to believe in yourself, and create helpful changes so that your recovery and healing can stay with you long after your final psychotherapy session.
